Safety First
Underlying all of our work is a strong commitment to trauma-informed practice and psychological safety. We prioritise safe, inclusive engagement and recognise the importance of creating environments where participants feel supported, heard and respected. This commitment ensures that safeguarding is not only compliant and effective, but also ethical, compassionate and sustainable.
Partnerships
We take a partnership approach—working alongside organisations to meet their safeguarding goals through practical, tailored support. This may include co-designing and implementing safeguarding plans, testing and adapting policies, processes and systems over time, and being available to troubleshoot issues as they arise, so improvements are embedded and sustained in day-to-day practice.
Engagement
We offer engagement and consultation services with children and young people to help organisations listen to lived experience, understand what safety looks and feels like in practice, and embed child-centred perspectives into safeguarding design and decision-making. Our approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate, and can be tailored to suit different ages, settings and participation needs.
Strategy & Support
Our strategy and support services help organisations design and implement effective safeguarding systems, from policy development and incident management to ongoing advisory support and troubleshooting. We recognise that safeguarding is an ongoing journey, not a one-off activity, and we work alongside organisations to provide practical guidance as challenges arise and systems evolve.
Independent Reviews
Our suite of review functions provides a clear picture of where your organisation stands now—and where it needs to go next. Through desktop reviews, stakeholder consultation and risk analysis, we identify areas of vulnerability, non-compliance and opportunity. We bring an independent, expert perspective that not only highlights risks but also builds on existing strengths, supporting organisations to grow and strengthen their safeguarding approach over time.​
Education & Training
Safeguarding Advisory Australia partners with our sister company, Safeguarding Training Australia (STA) to offer high quality education and training services.

STA’s training provides comprehensive learning and a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child safety. Our specially designed programs equip leaders, staff and volunteers with the skills and knowledge to safeguard children and young people in all types of programs and activities. Our training modules are tailored to the needs of each individual organisation, ensuring a customised approach to safeguarding and child safety. (link to STA)
